Technical Direction

My work in technical direction covers the strategic layer above architecture and implementation — evaluating problems, constraints, and goals to determine what should be built, how it should be structured, and in what order. This work emphasizes clarity and long-term reasoning over premature implementation.

Technical direction operates at the level of problem framing and solution strategy — identifying the right approach before committing to architecture or development, reducing complexity at the decision stage rather than inheriting it during execution. Engagements include both greenfield projects requiring full technical strategy and existing systems requiring re-evaluation of direction, scope, or structural approach.
