Practices

A practice is a client-facing professional practice through which I have delivered work over time. Each represents an established body of work with its own history, relationships, and track record.

Computer Science

My Computer Science professional practice focuses on software engineering, systems architecture, data systems, and computational research. The practice includes the development of proprietary software products, large-scale systems, creative production tooling, web platforms, and technical infrastructure.

Software developed through this practice has achieved more than 12 million distributions worldwide across consumer-facing products and production systems. The practice emphasizes a first-principles approach to engineering and the development of both practical and novel systems.

    Meta-Theory

My Meta-Theory practice explores philosophy, systems thinking, and the recurring structures that emerge across technology, culture, creativity, organizations, and human behavior. Developed through work in software engineering, systems architecture, entertainment production, and writing, the practice applies computational and architectural perspectives to questions traditionally explored through philosophy and the humanities.

Primarily expressed through essays, research, and long-form writing, the practice also supports strategic consulting, narrative development, forecasting, and systems-level analysis.

      Music (Scoring and Composition)

My Music practice focuses on composition, soundtrack development, and thematic music for proprietary entertainment properties. Originally developed to support my broader work in Production Arts, the practice centers on the creation of original scores, themes, and musical identities for games, stories, characters, and interactive experiences.

What began as a supporting discipline has grown into a broader creative practice exploring composition, arrangement, and the role of music in narrative, atmosphere, and worldbuilding.

        Production Arts

My Production Arts practice focuses on the creation of entertainment properties, digital content, production tooling, and real-time experiences. The practice is centered on proprietary intellectual property, franchise development, and the production technologies required to support them, spanning character creation, technical art, animation systems, control rigging, and real-time development.

The expertise developed through this work also supports strategic consulting, technical direction, and production execution for game and entertainment projects. In parallel, the practice develops production software and frameworks used throughout my own workflows and released as products for broader industry use.

My Visual Arts practice encompasses graphic arts, publication design, illustration, branding, and digital presentation, with a specialization in fine arts and cultural institutions. The practice includes extensive work for leading museums and galleries, contributions to projects involving artists such as Mary Cassatt, John Singer Sargent, and Pablo Picasso, and the production of more than 10,000 pages of books, catalogues, and design materials supporting hundreds of exhibitions.

The practice also encompasses web development and the creation of visual identity systems for businesses, institutions, and independent organizations.
