  • Featuring Federico Uribe's Wolf
  • Design by Alex Stevovich. Artwork by Federico Uribe

I designed a standalone advertisement for Adelson Galleries Boston, placed in Improper Bostonian in March 2015, featuring Federico Uribe's Wolf, 2015, constructed from bullet shells.

Scope of Work

  • Design of a standalone advertisement for placement in Improper Bostonian.
  • Coordination with the publisher on placement and production specifications.
  • Image preparation for print use.

Advertisement Deliverables

A standalone advertisement was designed for placement in Improper Bostonian, distributed to the publication's readership in March 2015. I coordinated with the publisher on placement and production specifications to ensure quality.

The layout is set on white, with the artist's name in a large tracked-out display sans across the top and the work's title, medium, and dimensions in a lighter weight beneath. The sculpture is given the full width of the page, cropped in close to show its dynamic, lunging pose and let the assembly of individual bullet shells read clearly at a large scale. Gallery contact information and hours are set in small type at the foot of the page. The clean, minimal structure keeps the focus on the sculpture itself, letting its material and construction carry the ad.

Technical

I was responsible for image preparation, including color balance, cropping, isolation of artwork from backgrounds, and preparing files for print use.
