Adelson Galleries Boston Ad for SoWa Guide
  • Adelson Galleries Boston Ad for SoWa Guide
  • Advertisement Design

I designed a standalone advertisement for Adelson Galleries Boston, placed in SoWa Guide in 2015, promoting the gallery's location and its third anniversary in the SoWa Art + Design District.

Scope of Work

  • Design of a standalone advertisement for placement in SoWa Guide.
  • Coordination with the publisher on placement and production specifications.
  • Image preparation for print use.

Advertisement Deliverables

A standalone advertisement was designed for placement in SoWa Guide, promoting Adelson Galleries Boston to visitors of the district and marking the gallery's third anniversary at its SoWa location. I coordinated with the publisher on placement and production specifications to ensure quality.

Rather than centering the ad around a single artwork, the layout leans on a photograph of the gallery's storefront, using the exterior signage and lit interior to establish a sense of place and invite passersby in. The gallery name is set in a bold, generously spaced display type stacked across three lines at the top of the page, with the anniversary message and hours set beneath in a lighter serif. Contact information and the gallery's logo are placed at the foot of the page, keeping the overall structure clean and legible against the photograph.

Technical

I was responsible for image preparation, including color balance, cropping, and preparing files for print use.
