Design of a single-page advertisement for Adelson Galleries' participation in The Winter Antiques Show 2013, held at Park Avenue Armory, New York. The fair has since been rebranded as The Winter Show. This was the fair's 63rd edition. The advertisement featured John Singer Sargent's Portrait of Miss Dorothy Vickers, 1885–86.

Scope of Work

  • Design of advertisement for placement in the fair's official catalogue
  • Coordination with the publisher on placement and production quality
  • Image preparation for print use

Advertisement Deliverables

A full-page advertisement was designed for placement in the fair's official catalogue, distributed to attendees across the run of the show. The catalogue offered left and right page placement, though the design held well on either side and no variant was produced.

The layout is set on white, with the artist's name in a large display serif across the top, life dates beneath in a lighter weight, and the painting centered in the remaining space with the gallery identity and contact information carried in small type at the foot of the page. The structure gives the work room without competing with it, an approach suited to fine art of this period and caliber.

This ad is part of the gallery's broader ongoing campaign across fair appearances and print placements, and follows the established visual language developed for those materials.
