Adelson Galleries Winter Show 2017 Ad

A full-page advertisement was designed for placement in the fair's official catalogue, distributed to attendees across the run of the show. Left and right page variants were submitted alongside a secondary back cover spread option. I coordinated with the publisher on placement and production quality.

Two versions of the layout were developed. The standard version places the artist name in a large display serif on white, with life dates beneath in a lighter weight, the painting centered, and gallery contact information in small type at the foot of the page. A full-bleed variant was also produced, with the painting running edge to edge and all type set over the image in white. The dark tonal ground of the portrait accommodates the bleed treatment naturally, with the white type reading cleanly against the upper field of the composition. The bleed version was the design placed in the catalogue.

I was responsible for image preparation, including color balance, cropping, isolation of artwork from backgrounds, and preparing files for print use.
