- Adrien Broom: Envy Brochure
- Design Layout Around Fine Art for Brochure
- Design by Alex Stevovich. Artwork by Adrien Broom
I designed the exhibition brochure for Adrien Broom: Envy, an exhibition at Hudson River Museum presenting Adrien Broom's large-scale photographic recreations of classic fairy tales organized around the theme of envy, with each story presented as an immersive installation, on view June 6 through September 27, 2015. The exhibition was curated by Bartholomew F. Bland, Deputy Director, under the direction of Michael Botwinick, Director of Hudson River Museum.
A six-panel brochure was designed for distribution at the museum, applying a decorative modernist typographic style developed to suit the storybook nature of the exhibition, drawing on the visual language of Broom's photographic sets and narratives.
Scope of Work
- Design of a six-panel exhibition brochure.
- Image preparation and adjustments.
- Coordination with the printer.
Deliverable
The brochure was produced as a museum takeaway, presenting the exhibition alongside reproductions of Broom's fairy tale photography in a decorative, storybook-inspired layout. I was responsible for image preparation, including color balance, cropping, isolation of artwork from backgrounds, and preparing files for print and digital use.
