I designed the monograph Andrew Stevovich: Beyond the Figure, published by Skira Editore in partnership with Adelson Galleries. The publication presents a fifty-year retrospective survey of Andrew Stevovich's career, featuring 120 paintings organized across multiple thematic sections with essay and plate sequences throughout.
The volume opens with hero layouts and custom designs for the title, half title, and contents pages, followed by a conversation between Adam Adelson and Andrew Stevovich. An introductory overview section precedes the main catalogue, which comprises eleven thematic essay chapters authored by Michael Botwinick, each presenting essay and image in dynamic integrated layouts weaving Stevovich's work alongside historic references and related artists. The volume concludes with sections on Stevovich's biography and CV, contributing authors, and an index. A custom zigzag graphic motif — developed from a background element in Stevovich's own paintings — runs throughout the book as a recurring design element. I coordinated with Adelson Galleries and Linda Locke, Editor, through the early and development phases of the project, working directly with Skira Editore through the concluding and publishing stages.

Visual Identity
The visual identity for this monograph was developed as a standalone publication identity, establishing the typographic system, color, and graphic approach for a fifty-year retrospective survey. A custom zigzag motif inspired by a background element in Stevovich's paintings was developed and woven throughout the book as a unifying graphic device.
Design Overview
The monograph was designed to support a sustained, essay-driven retrospective spanning five decades of work. Each of the eleven essay chapters was individually laid out with text and imagery integrated dynamically, accommodating Stevovich's paintings alongside historic and contemporary references. The design required a layout language capable of sustained variation while maintaining visual coherence across 226 pages.
