- Andrew Stevovich: Familiar Faces exhibition catalogue, cover spread featuring Andrew Stevovich's Subway Riders
- Design by Alex Stevovich. Artwork by Andrew Stevovich
I designed the exhibition catalogue for Andrew Stevovich: Familiar Faces, produced by Adelson Galleries in conjunction with the exhibition on view March 24 through April 25, 2015. The catalogue runs 60 pages and opens with an introduction by Adam Adelson followed by a complete plate section of works in the exhibition. The catalogue was shared across both the New York and Boston presentations of the exhibition. The publication was also adapted to a digital edition for online display and distribution.
Scope of Work
- Visual identity development for the publication.
- Concept development and design direction.
- Layout design and typography across 60 pages.
- Image preparation for print and digital use.
- Digital edition adaptation for online display and distribution.
- On-site press supervision to oversee production and ensure color accuracy.
- Coordination with the printer through production.
Visual Identity
The visual identity for this catalogue was developed as part of the larger exhibition project. I was responsible for the complete design language of the exhibition — typographic system, color, graphic approach — and this extended fully into the catalogue, creating continuity across all materials produced for Andrew Stevovich: Familiar Faces.
Design Overview
The catalogue was designed as a plate-driven publication presenting Stevovich's figurative work, with a typographic and layout language supporting both introductory content and sustained image presentation across 60 pages.
