- Betty Bressi: Retrospective Brochure
- Design Layout Around Fine Art for Brochure
- Design by Alex Stevovich. Artwork by Betty Bressi
I designed the exhibition brochure for Betty Bressi: Retrospective, presented as part of the Staten Island Museum's Artists/Ideas Series, on view January 25 through April 8, 2015. The exhibition surveyed Bressi's career from early works made in a Japanese resettlement camp during World War II through abstract pattern paintings, typewriter conceptual art, poetry projects, and paper weaving and book works, curated by Robert Bunkin, Art Curator at the Staten Island Museum.
A one-fold brochure was designed for distribution at the museum, presenting essay text and artwork reproductions alongside event programming and sponsor information.
Scope of Work
- Design of a one-fold exhibition brochure.
- Image preparation and adjustments.
- Coordination with the printer.
Deliverable
The brochure was produced as a museum takeaway, presenting essay text and reproductions of works spanning Bressi's career alongside event programming and sponsor information.
I was also responsible for image preparation, including color balance, cropping, isolation of artwork from backgrounds, and preparing files for print and digital use.
Artwork Attributions
