I designed the exhibition brochure for Betty Bressi: Retrospective, presented as part of the Staten Island Museum's Artists/Ideas Series, on view January 25 through April 8, 2015. The exhibition surveyed Bressi's career from early works made in a Japanese resettlement camp during World War II through abstract pattern paintings, typewriter conceptual art, poetry projects, and paper weaving and book works. It was curated by Robert Bunkin, Art Curator at the Staten Island Museum.

Scope of Work

  • Development of the exhibition's visual identity.
  • Design of exhibition brochure.
  • Image preparation for print and digital use.

Visual Identity

A visual identity was developed for the exhibition and applied consistently across the materials produced. This established the typographic language, layout structure, and graphic approach used throughout the deliverables produced.

Print

Brochure

A folded exhibition brochure was designed for distribution at the museum, presenting essay text and artwork reproductions alongside event programming and sponsor information.
