Illustration

The piece develops a winged emblem built around the numeral I as a central column, flanked by two symmetrical wings that spread outward from a central eye motif. The column terminates at the top in a flat crossbar and at the base in paired scroll flourishes, giving the form the proportions of an architectural element as much as a symbol. A circular eye with concentric rings and three dot accents sits at the midpoint where the wings meet the column.

The wings are rendered in a flat silhouette style with feather divisions cut cleanly into the form, drawing on the visual language of ancient winged emblems found across Etruscan, Egyptian and Mesopotamian traditions. Slight stylizations and the scroll bases give the mark a crafted, slightly idiosyncratic quality that keeps it from reading as a direct historical reference.

The piece is rendered in deep brown on a warm taupe field, giving it the tone of aged material — bronze, terracotta, or carved stone.
