A graphic illustration produced as part of an ongoing series of heraldic paper cut studies, exploring emergent symbols and visual concepts through flat color and strict geometric composition.
Scope of Work
- Concept and symbol exploration.
- Production of vector artwork.
Illustration
The heraldic paper cut series uses flat color, geometric form, and bilateral symmetry to explore themes and symbols as early concept passes. Each piece functions as a process of discovery, with small curves, forms, and compositional insights pointing toward future minimalization.
This piece explores themes of fortress, empyrean order, law, divinity, and zenith. A pointed shield or banner form in deep purple contains three stacked emblematic elements in cyan: a six pointed star configuration of interlocking triangles at the top, a winged bird figure at the center, and an inverted triangle with elk horn extensions below. The border of the inner field carries recursive triangle corner ornaments and jagged lightning bracket accents at the base corners. The whole composition floats on a teal field scattered with gold star accents.
The palette of purple, cyan and teal gives the piece a celestial, ordered quality — cool and architectural rather than warm or organic.
