I designed an advertisement for placement with the International Fine Print Dealers Association print fair catalogue, produced for Picasso / Vollard: Prints from the Stock of the Artist's Publisher, an exhibition produced by Marc Rosen Fine Art and presented at Adelson Galleries, October 6 through November 14, 2015. The exhibition presented prints by Pablo Picasso from the stock of Ambroise Vollard, Picasso's publisher and dealer.

Scope of Work

  • Design of advertisement for placement with the International Fine Print Dealers Association.
  • Coordination with the publisher on placement and production specifications.
  • Image preparation for print use.

Advertisement Deliverables

An advertisement was designed for placement with the International Fine Print Dealers Association print fair catalogue, reaching an audience of print specialists and collectors over the course of the exhibition's run. I coordinated with the publisher on placement and production specifications to ensure quality.

The layout draws on the visual identity established for the exhibition, applying its typographic and structural language to the ad's format. Given the audience's familiarity with printmaking, the design gave the work close attention at a larger scale, with supporting text kept minimal.

Technical

I was responsible for image preparation, including color balance, cropping, isolation of artwork from backgrounds, and preparing files for print use.
