  • Design by Alex Stevovich. Artwork by Exhibiting Artists

I designed the exhibition invitation for Strut: The Peacock and Beauty in Art, an exhibition at Hudson River Museum tracing the peacock as a subject through art history and contemporary practice, on view October 11, 2014 through January 18, 2015. The exhibition was curated by Bartholomew F. Bland, Director of Curatorial Affairs, under the direction of Michael Botwinick, Director of Hudson River Museum.

A folded invitation was designed in postcard format, sealed for mailing and opened upon removal of the seal to reveal the invitation and exhibition details inside.

Scope of Work

  • Design of a two-panel folded postcard-format invitation.
  • Image preparation and adjustments.
  • Coordination with the printer on mailing compliance and production.

Deliverable

The invitation was produced as a sealed mailer, presenting the exhibition invitation and details upon opening. I ensured compliance with mailing standards and coordinated with the printer to maintain production quality.

I was also responsible for image preparation, including color balance, cropping, isolation of artwork from backgrounds, and preparing files for print.
