Parfait for Blender is the production interface I use throughout my character and asset development work. It grew from the practical needs of working extensively in Blender: recurring operations that required too many steps, production functionality that was difficult or absent from the standard interface, and workflows that benefited from purpose-built tools rather than repeatedly assembling the same operations by hand.
Parfait extends Blender both through dedicated production panels and by supplementing its existing interface with functionality where it is useful in context. Its tools span modeling, sculpting, modifiers, rigging, armatures, animation, shape keys, multiresolution workflows, BMesh operations, UVs, card placement, asset preparation, artistic utilities, and general production efficiency.
The system is deliberately non-opinionated. Its operators address focused production tasks without prescribing the larger workflow, project structure, naming system, or pipeline in which they are used. They are intended as practical, low-level operations that can be incorporated wherever they are useful, allowing Parfait to supplement an existing workflow rather than requiring that workflow to be organized around Parfait.
Some of these operations occupy areas Blender intentionally treats cautiously. An operation that is necessary during real production may depend on object state, mode, selection, editor context, or assumptions about the asset being operated on, making it difficult to expose as a universally safe operation across every configuration Blender permits. Parfait provides tools for many of these practical production cases within clearly defined working contexts rather than attempting to generalize them beyond the workflows for which they are intended.
This reflects Parfait's larger purpose: it is not intended to replace Blender's interface or establish an alternate way of using the application. It fills the space between Blender's broad general-purpose toolset and the specific needs of sustained production work, providing the additional operations, shortcuts, interfaces, and utilities that make complex asset development faster and more manageable.
