Andrew Stevovich Catalogue Raisonné Web

I develop and maintain the web platform for the Andrew Stevovich Catalogue Raisonné, providing public access to the extensive structured archive developed through the accompanying cataloguing project. The site is designed to make a large and interconnected body of information approachable while giving the artwork itself a strong visual presentation.

The project spans the full web stack, including data architecture, frontend development, server architecture, search and navigation systems, and the transformation of structured archival records into public-facing pages. It serves as a flagship for much of my web development work surrounding artists, artwork, and other highly visual bodies of information, where the underlying data can be extensive without allowing the experience to feel technical or database-driven.

Visual presentation is equally important to the project. The catalogue is intended not only as a reference resource, but as an appealing way to explore Andrew Stevovich’s work. Image presentation, typography, layout, responsive behavior, navigation, and the relationships between works and historical records are developed together to create a modern and sophisticated viewing experience.

The project also overlaps with my broader web development and support for Andrew Stevovich’s career. Search discoverability, performance, accessibility, maintainability, and the overall experience of encountering his work online are therefore important alongside the catalogue’s archival functions. The goal is a durable public platform that can support both detailed documentation and the simple experience of discovering and viewing the artwork.
